We want to brighten up your classroom by giving away this colorful keyboarding rug! The 4’x6’ rug displays 2 color-coded keyboards with corresponding finger placement guides to emphasize proper typing technique. This can be a great addition to any computer lab or classroom.
Entering to win this unique prize is simple. Send us an email (through the contact form) requesting to be entered into the drawing. Tell us about your school, where it’s located (city, state), how many of your students use TypingWeb, how you discovered the site, and your role in the classroom. That’s it! Be sure to include the email address associated with your teacher portal account. The drawing will be held on Friday, October 26th at 10am (PDT). Get your entries in before then!
In order to qualify, you must have a classroom of 20 or more active TypingWeb students, teach at a public or private school located in the contiguous United States, and be willing to take a picture of the rug displayed in your classroom (preferably with some happy students around it) that we can use in a follow up post announcing the winner. For privacy, our follow up post will not include any names or personal information, and students are not required to be in the photo. Only one entry per teacher portal account will be accepted.

Iworked really hard and i really want to have it!
My computer lab would look fabulous with this rug. I teach keyboarding to almost 400 students weekly. Due to the new Common Core standards, my students in a grades 3 – 6 elementary school, will be keyboard proficient years before their parents or grandparents were.
I teach at North Elementary School in Marshall, IL. My typing web account is linked to [email protected] My 3rd graders aren’t on Typing Web yet. I want them to have some interaction with me and the computer before I set them loose on their own. But my 4th, 5th and 6th grade students are using it at least once a week, plus some are using it at home.

i discovered typingweb last year when looking online for programs my kids could track their progress and enjoy their own successes. it has been amazing!

I absolutely love this program. We were unable to purchase software for keyboarding for our 2nd-5th graders and when I found this one, they were happy to practice here in the lab and at home. The students love the games and trophies, too.
I think that is a great idea to give away that colorful keyboard rug. I also think it would be great for my technogly class room.

Disregard that last comment. But I absolutely love this program, and I would like to win these for Captain Shreve High School’s IBCA and BCA classes. I think these would make our class more fun and exciting. And I also think we’ll be able to learn better with these. So I hope we win.

a bit off-topic but I found no place else to suggest this.
It would be great if there is a section in the tutor to add out own
custom text to practice typing. It will make typing practice a lot less
repetitive.

Have you ever heard of Nitro Type before? It’s a good website to go on because you get to customize your vehcicle and win lots of races, you guys should visit that website because it’s pretty awesome at the point. TypingWeb is okay except is hard to pass those levels of the days you’ve typed. Many people type for sure except that your WPM made go high or low no matter what. Thanks for the blog post.
TypingWeb is alright for me because I kept practicing every day to get my WPM go up so that I’ll be a good fast typer myself.
